≪ABOUT the Alpha Domus Winery≫
Alpha Domes is a winery based in Hawke's Bay on the North Island. It was founded in 1989 by the HAM family in this Hawke's Bay area. Alpha "ALPHA" is derived from the family name Anthonius, Leonarda, Paulus, Henrikus, Anthonius, and Domes "DOMUS" means "house" in Latin.
As the name suggests, it is a warm winery like a family.
There is an airport near the winery, which has long been an important training airfield for New Zealand Air Force pilots. The recent Alpha-Domes label design is inspired by the previously used military aircraft Tiger Moss.
The wines produced at this winery have won numerous awards at international wine competitions by the famous British wine magazine Decanter.

≪Tasting comment≫
Black fruits such as blackberries and plums and spices with a hint of fragrance. You can also enjoy complex scents such as the sweet scent that comes from oak. It has a good balance of tannins and sourness, and it goes very well with Italian food such as pizza and pasta and lean meat such as lamb and beef steak.
