ABOUT Misty Cove winery
Marlborough on the South Island of New Zealand. Many wonderful Sauvignon Blanc are cultivated due to the temperature difference between day and night, long daylight hours, and soil suitable for growing wine.
The name of the winery, "Misty Cove", is derived from the beautiful scenery of "Marlborough Sound", which is also famous as a tourist destination.
A long, intricate cove with a total length of 1,500 km and a beautiful beach, the cove is abundant in virgin forest, and it is as beautiful as a postcard.
The seawater that evaporates, warmed by the heat of the sun during the day, eventually becomes fog, covering the Marlborough sound. The scene it creates is beautiful and mysterious.
Andrew Bailey, owner of Misty Cove, said, "It's natural that fine wines are delicious, but I want to make delicious wines at a price that everyone can afford. I decided to start making wine in Marlborough."
In addition, this winery considers the natural environment. Sustainable winemaking techniques are used and the conversion to organic is underway. At the winery, fossil fuels use is minimized and practices to reduce waste are in place.
The wines made at Misty Cove Winery have won numerous awards and have been recognized and highly evaluated by wine lovers, including being used in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world.

≪Tasting comment≫
In your mouth, a refreshing citrus aroma spreads throughout. You can also enjoy the scent of peach and passion fruit. There is an elegant feel. It is a wine with a solid minerality, well-balanced acidity and astringency, and abundant fruit flavors that goes well with seafood and Japanese food.
